What we check
A speed score is one of four public grades Google gives your site. It’s a diagnostic. For ranking, Google uses Core Web Vitals measured on real visitors. A useful audit reads the score and then keeps going. If the site runs on a website builder, the platform caps some of these no matter what you do on the page. That is why a website builder becomes your SEO ceiling.
Speed & Core Web Vitals
What’s slowing your site down, such as oversized images or render-blocking scripts or slow hosting. We measure against field data from real visitors and tell you which fix moves the number most.
Security headers
Whether Google currently flags your site as unsafe. We also check the headers most sites quietly lack. These cover HTTPS enforcement and clickjacking, plus which sources a page may load content from.
Indexation
Whether Google can find and index your pages. Broken sitemaps and stray noindex tags are common, and so are orphaned pages that never rank. We also check whether Google Search Console was ever registered.
Structured data
Whether search engines understand what your business is. This is the schema markup behind rich results and maps listings, and increasingly behind AI answers.

We audit the way we build. Schema comes before pixels, and we test load behavior and security headers before the first deploy. A person reads every audit: one of the senior engineers who build and run our software in production in Chicago. Each finding comes with the fix we would make and what it costs to make it.

Common questions
Is the audit free?
The website health check is free: Google’s own speed test runs in your browser, and if you send us your score a real engineer replies with your three most impactful fixes — no obligation, no mailing list. A full audit and the fixes themselves are fixed scope at a fixed price, agreed before we start.
What does the audit look at beyond a speed score?
The score measures speed. Our engineer review also looks at security headers, whether Google can properly find and index your pages, and structured data (schema) — the things that quietly cost rankings and trust even on a fast site.
What is the difference between a website audit and an SEO audit?
For most business sites they are the same review. Speed, security headers, indexation, and structured data decide both what Google can do with your site and how it behaves for visitors, so we check all four together rather than selling them as two reports.
Do I need Google Search Console?
Yes — it’s Google’s free dashboard showing how your site performs in search, and it requires proving you own the site. Many small-business sites were never registered at all. Registering and reading it is one of the things we handle in every build.
Are you SOC 2, HIPAA, or ISO certified?
No, and we say so plainly. For regulated work we architect to the specific control, document it, and bring in certified partners where a certification is legally required — rather than claiming a badge we do not hold.
Do you work with clients outside Chicago?
Yes. Our clinic client Quantum Prosthetics & Orthotics has clinics in Illinois, Indiana, and Nevada, and we built and manage its website. Chicago is our home base, not our limit.
